Clean Up Almost Complete – Time to Shoot Again!!

In an earlier blog entry, we mentioned that we had a water pipe break in our studio room that flooded out most of the space. For the last few weeks, the room has been a construction zone and we have been unable to do any shooting. But the work is finally complete and it is time to shoot again!! We have two shoots scheduled for this weekend and hope to schedule more for next week.

One benefit of all this is that it finally motivated us to clean out and reorganize our wardrobe/prop closet. Over the years, the closet has gradually become more & more disorganized to the point where we often could not find things. And some of the clothing was so out dated that a few of models would tease us about it – particularly Ginger Higgins. So we really went to town, we donated several boxes of clothes & shoes to Goodwill, and organized all our rope, tape, chains and other supplies into plastic storage bins- and damn do we have a lot of rope!

We also painted one of the backdrop walls a new color, painted the bathroom/changing room, and replaced the carpet in the entire studio, so the place will have a bit of a new look.

  1. We were very careful about the “donation” pile vs the “keep” piles! LOL Not sure what Goodwill would have done with 1000’s of feet of rope, ball gags, handcuffs, etc.!

Looks like Ginger Higgins will be the first Imago model to check out the updated space, followed shortly by Sarah Brown and hopefully Mysti Morrison if we can coordinate with her!

  2. Very few are “one size fits all” – because as most women can tell you, “one size fits all” means either sack-style or one-size-fits no one! Most of our models are size 4 or 6, so that is the bulk of our clothing, although we do have some 8’s for curvier or taller girls. The really tiny girls, size 0 or 2, we ask them to bring as much as they can as we don’t have a lot for them to wear.

Don’t make your wife feel guilty about the organization of the closet; it took a major issue to get us to tidy it up!

  3. Are most of your clothes “one size fits all” or do you buy particular sizes with certain models in mind? I should show my wife the pics of your storage area. It all looks so neat!

  4. way cool! looks very organized. good thing yal didn’t confuse the boxes of clothes and shoes to Goodwill with the ropes and chains and such 🙂
Who gets to christen the new look?
